MPP GILL ANNOUNCES NEW SCHOOL BEING BUILT IN MILTON

MILTON ON – Today, Parm Gill, Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton, announced the approval to proceed to tender the new St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School. This will be supported by a provincial investment of over $53.6 million.

The new school will provide more student spaces in a new, quality learning environment for the growing student population in Milton. This project is part of the province’s capital investment program to support students with modern learning spaces.

“The approval to proceed for St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School is incredible news for our community,” said Parm Gill, Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton. “We understand the need for new schools in Milton and I am proud that our government continues to get it done”.

Since 2018, Milton has received eight new schools and five school expansions. The Ontario government has invested over $250 million in capital investments for new schools and school expansions in Milton.

“Our government is once again investing in Milton’s future, and assisting young people reach their full potential by investing in a new school for local families,” said Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce. “By building a new St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School — a total of 100 new schools funded by our government — we are preparing students and families moving into this growing community for the jobs of tomorrow in modern schools.”

The new St. Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School will be located at the Southeast corner of Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Kennedy Circle in Milton.
