ONTARIO GOVERNMENT BUILDING NEW SCHOOL IN MILTON

MILTON, ON – As part of Ontario’s ongoing investments to build and improve local schools, the province has given Halton Catholic District School Board approval to proceed to tender a new unnamed elementary school – Milton #10 Catholic Elementary School.

The $18.7 million investment will provide a new, quality learning environment for the students of Milton, as well as new childcare rooms. This project is part of the province’s capital investment program to support students with modern learning spaces.

“It is no secret that our community continues to grow and I am proud to be part of a government that invests in growing communities” said Parm Gill, MPP for Milton “This new school will ensure our children have a safe and healthy environment to grow, and learn in.”

Ontario’s investment in new and updated schools will create the foundation for a modern learning environment for hundreds of students across the province.

“From modernizing our curriculum to revitalizing our classrooms and their facilities, we are investing in our students and giving them every tool to achieve their full potential,” said Education Minister Stephen Lecce. “Construction of the new Milton elementary school further demonstrates our government’s historic investment in Ontario’s schools and our overall commitment to supporting our students and families.”

Highlights of the new school construction include:

  • 671 elementary student spaces.
  • 88 new licensed childcare spaces.
  • 5 new childcare rooms.

 Unnamed Elementary School – Milton #10 will be located at 675 Kennedy Circle West, Milton.
