THE GO-VAXX BUS IS COMING TO THE MILTON FARMERS’ MARKET

MILTON – The GO-VAXX bus is coming to the Milton Farmers’ Market, at 136 Robert St. on September 11th, 2021 from 8:00am until 12:00 noon. The Ontario government is offering a new, convenient option for people to receive their COVID-19 vaccine with the rollout of the GO-VAXX bus which has been retrofitted to serve as a mobile vaccine clinic.

“While we continue to make excellent progress in our fight against COVID-19, it’s critical that all Ontarians born in 2009 or earlier get vaccinated with their first and second doses as soon as possible” said Parm Gill, Minister of Citizenship & Multiculturalism, and MPP for Milton. “Getting vaccinated greatly reduces a person’s risk of hospitalization and death, and is the best way to protect ourselves and our loved ones from COVID-19 and the Delta variant.”

No appointments are needed, and anyone aged 12 and over can get their first or second dose while the bus is operating and supplies last.

“MPP Gill, the provincial government, and Metrolinx are to be congratulated for such an innovative way to bring vaccines to the people”, said Scott McCammon, President & CEO of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. “We are honoured to have the GOVAXX bus at the Milton Farmers’ Market and hope Miltonians take the opportunity to get first or second doses”.

This retrofitted bus is fully accessible and will be administering Pfizer to anyone looking for their vaccine dose.

As the province’s vaccine rollout progresses, targeted strategies such as the GO-VAXX bus will play a vital role in reaching communities across Ontario.
