HELPING FAMILIES IS OUR PRIORITY

We have a plan to “Build Ontario Together.” It is balanced, it is responsible, and it sets us on a path to balancing the budget by 2023-2024, while still investing in critical public services like education and health care.

This is because helping families is our priority.

We created our Low-Income and Families Tax Credit (LIFT), providing low-income earners with $850 in tax relief; our Childcare Access and Relief from Expenses (CARE) tax credit, helping families with up to 75 per cent of their child care expenses while investing $1 billion to create child care spaces; and our Ontario Senior Dental Care Program that gives free, high-quality routine dental care for eligible low-income seniors.

For Milton, I am working closely with the Ministry of Education to get new schools and more classrooms built while ensuring investments are increasing.

As the parliamentary assistant for housing, our Housing Supply Action Plan has created safe, affordable housing along Bronte Street, all while delivering on my commitment to improve services at the Milton GO station and taking a stand against the potential environmental effects posed by the Reid Road quarry.

However, the work for families does not stop there; I was honoured to host my first Family Day skate at the Milton Sports Centre. The day was celebrated with over 200 people in attendance, enjoying the long weekend together with cookies, mini-sticks and lots of fun. It was a pleasure to see so many of you.

If there is anything myself and my office can do for you and your family, please let us know by giving us a call at (905) 878-1729 or email parm.gill@pc.ola.org.
